A COMPPARE poster abstract has been accepted by the Patient-centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and will be presented at its 2024 Annual Meeting, which will take place in Washington, D.C., October 22–23.
The two-day event brings together patients, caregivers, researchers and the broader healthcare community to learn about the latest findings from PCORI-funded research and research-related projects. PCORI invited awardees and project partners to submit abstracts highlighting their results, activities and lessons learned.
In the abstract, the COMPPARE team summarized, “A hallmark of [our] trial was stakeholder engagement in design and conduct. This resulted in rapid accrual of a diverse population of men at a challenging time characterized by low national clinical trial participation, particularly among minority patients, despite insurance barriers, issues of physician equipoise, strong patient preferences, the small number of centers providing PT, and COVID-19.”
PCORI’s poster sessions are open to all attendees. Posters will be presented at fixed times on each day of the event, with one presenter available to attend in person and engage with meeting attendees. Times will be shared once the meeting agenda is finalized.
