This approach combines molecular therapies (therapy) and paired molecular targeted imaging (diagnostics).
In theranostics, a special diagnostic molecule is first used to find the cancer. That same molecule
is then modified and used to go back in and destroy the cancer. This therapy is already being practiced in Germany with promising results.
