Dr. Nancy Mendenhall (COMPPARE PI) and Dr. Curtis Bryant (COMPPARE Co-Investigator) were special guests of the 100 Black Men Health and Wellness Committee at the “Salute to Our Chapter Presidents Luncheon” at the annual Leadership Summit held in Jacksonville, FL, December 11-14, 2019. Dr. Mendenhall was recognized for her work helping to reduce prostate cancer disparities and the role of COMPPARE in the new Our Health Our Voice initiative introduced by Health and Wellness Chair Dr. Mark Alexander and Cancer Chair Mr. Charles Griggs. 100 Black Men developed this initiative to encourage Black men to participate in clinical trials, with COMPPARE being one of 3 initial prostate cancer trials promoted by the organization.
